HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR NEW BORN CHILD
INTRODUCTION
Here are the tips to take care of a new born child and common issues which are normal for new born babies to take care of ....some of the guidelines are according to WHO (world health organisation) which are recommended...lets see in details .
keep the baby skin to skin contact as soon as baby born. continue this skin to skin contact as much as possible for some early days of birth . it helps to regulate the temperature of the baby's body and help in promotes bonding and supports breastfeeding.

With in the first hour of birth initiate breastfeeding. with in every 2 hours breast feed is must. first six months of life, feeding should be exclusive. no additional liquids should be given to them accept vitamins and minerals supplements as per doctors prescriptions.

If you are not able to breastfeeding (happens in some cases) , give them powdered milk as per doctors prescribed (follow to instructions given on the packaging ) and give them in every 2 hours. Burping is important after every time feed. burping helps to prevent gas and discomfort to the baby.
- keep the baby clean by changing diapers when ever necessary. prevent diaper rash.
- keep your hands clean when ever you are handling the baby (wash hands properly with soap of hand wash).
- avoid the baby bath until the umbilical cord stumps fall off (usually with in 1-2 weeks).
- use mild baby shampoo, soap, wipes, wet wipes, and powder...what ever necessary for your baby, (choose the baby products wise
Follow the immunization schedule as per your country's health authorities recommendations. ensure the timely vaccination to the baby from preventable diseases.
- The new born sleeping period is 16-17 hours a day, in a short period of time.
- place the in their back to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
- ensure the baby sleeps on a soft object to safe sleep environment.
- at-least for six months share the same room with baby .
Learn to recognized the danger signs in new born babies such as high fever, severe jaundice, difficulty in breathing, poor feeding and lethargy. seek immediate health care professionals if these conditions are seen in your child
Support mother with open communication about mothers health and well-being, physically and mentally. and its contribution to the new born for overall well being.
- HERE ARE SOME OF THE CONDITIONS THAT ARE CONSIDERED TO BE NORMAL IN NEW BORN BABIES
- Jaundice is normal in every new born babies , yellow tint skin and eyes, it usually resolves with in few weeks or days.
- it is common for a baby to spitting up after feeding ,you can consult a health care professional if it becomes excessive and discomfort.
- small red bumps on skin,body, or face is normal . it goes away by their own.
- stuffy or contested nose of new born baby is normal, during first few weeks...is normal.
- some kids salivate a lot for a starting weeks.
